Woods Gully Track

 

Make sure you take water and watch out for snakes in the summer months. Start near the woolshed. Follow the road making sure to leave the gates how you found them. head across the "Long Flat" and our hand made bridge over a 30 foot deep creek. The head up the southern side of Woods Gully. Through the gate into the black gate and then cut back to the side of Colin's Knob and back down to the road and Return.

Rough Hill Track

 

Make sure you take lots of water and watch out for snakes in the summer months. A walk that tracks up the ridge to a series of beautiful saddles with incredible views and then on towards some of the higher country on Kimo. To the east it overlooks the are known as "The Basin" and back down the beautiful Kimo Valley that heads south towards the River. The track follows a vehicle track up the hill until it branches off onto a wide sheep track that gets you back to another saddle. The track gradually loses elevation and gains it again traversing across the "Rough Hill". The down through the corner of the paddock and returns down to the valley floor.

Sweeneys Guests Only

 

Make sure you take lots of water and watch out for snakes in the summer months. Head above the hut to start this walk. Come across the old mine rd and then head behind the hill and along the Ridgeline. Go through the gate and follow the wide sheep tracks across the face of the Spring Hill. Make your way up to the saddle and the double back east along that main high ridge where theres a vehicle track. Careful down the next steep hill. If it's wet and you're not an experience walker I would leave it. For the fit and agile, head down the hill to the gate you came through. Follow the sheep tracks across the side of the hill back to Sweeney's.

River Walk

 

Make sure you take lots of water and watch out for snakes in the summer months. A beautiful flat walk that is most beautiful in the evenings in the summer and during the day in the winter. Wander down past the Grain Shed and through the best agricultural land on Kimo and eventually to the Murrumbidgee River. Follow the river for about a Km and the head to the lagoon area. Ocaisionally this area is home to Swan, Waterfowl and even the odd Pelican. Continue across the flats to the Culvert and return.

The Bothers Track

 

Make sure you take lots of water and watch out for snakes in the summer months. Good walking boots are a good idea for this one. Mountain Bikes might Like this one too. Remember Leave all Gates how you found them.

This is a huge walk taking you out to the back country of Kimo Estate. You'll Likely see Kangaroos and maybe even a goanna on your walk as well as the amazing bird life of the native dog creek.

It takes you up through "Woods Gully", up the "Black Gate" and into the area known as the "Native Dog Creek" before circling around through "The Robinsons" and The Slip" and back into the Kimo Valley

Fergo's Guests Only - River and Lagoon Walk

 

This Track will take you down the far side of the hill to the flats. Follow the low point and them pop out at a beautiful part of the river where it turns sharply creating a large steep bank. Follow upstream for a while and then head back towards the Lagoon.

 

Walk around the Lagoon which is often home to pelicans, swans and other water birds and then head back home to the Hut.
